VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR
The William Brooks Read-a-thon is a Spring Fundraiser with a goal of encouraging students to read while raising money to support our school. The fundraiser will take place at William Brooks and truly anywhere that you can read a book! In the past we have had daily themed spirit days, as well as events on campus to celebrate literacy and the joy of reading. Children will collect pledges and read (or be read to) throughout the week in an effort to earn money for the William Brooks PTA.

When is the Read-a-thon?

The next read-a-thon show is currently scheduled for Monday April 28 - Friday May 2, 2025. We would love to incorporate an evening Family Event on Friday, May 2.

Setting the timeline

Engaging an online fundraising platform

Marketing and promotion

Gathering participation prizes

The PTA will provide guidance for the lead(s) of the event and notes, information on prizes and platforms used in prior years, and assistance coordinating with Mrs. Stedeford and teachers about the event.
