Get Involved
The William Brooks PTA needs you! There are many ways you can help our students by supporting and participating in the PTA. We would love to get as many parents involved in the PTA as possible. Even if you only have a few minutes a week to give from home, we would love your support.
Some of the ways you can get involved include:
Join the William Brooks Birthday Club!
The Birthday Club provides options to celebrate your child’s special day at school. Celebrate his or her birthday or half-birthday by having a personalized 'happy birthday' message displayed on the school marquee and/or choosing a new book from Brook's librarian Mrs. Brelsford’s book box to donate to (and then be the first to check out from) the school library.
If you are interested in joining, please complete this form and return it to the school office.
Wear Brooks Spirit Wear
Every Friday is a Brooks Spirit day, where students and teachers are encouraged to wear school colors of blue and red. The PTA sells a wide variety of shirts, tanks, sweatshirts, hats, socks, and water bottles for both students and adults. Items are on sale at select PTA-events (including the Kindergarten Playdate at the Park, Ice Cream Social, and Harvest Carnival), On Campus Pop-Ups Sales (dates TBD), and Online Sales (dates TDB). Spirit wear can also be purchased by emailing Beth Lara at wbrookspta@gmail.com.
Attend PTA Meetings
Although you are not required to attend the PTA meetings, attending meetings will help you be in the know! Meetings this year will be held on Tuesdays at William Brooks in room 20 (in the front for the school near the garden) or the Brooks library, with times alternating between morning, after school, and evenings.
There are nine association meetings for the 2024-2025 school year, as listed below. Please see the Calendar page for the time and location of the meetings. We hope to see you there!

Become a Volunteer
There are many different ways parents, caregivers, and others can support our students! Whatever your schedule is like – even if you only have 30 minutes to spare – you’ll find opportunities to help: days or evenings, from school or from home- we have something for you to do! Check out our Events Page and learn more about the different volunteer roles we have for our larger annual events.

Use our Give Back Programs
Join Nugget's Community Scrip Program and help generate funds for the William Brooks PTA at no cost to you! Ask for a Nugget Market Scrip Card from the William Brooks front office or from Nugget Markets, ForkLift, Sonoma Market, or Food4Less. Register your card online and select William Brooks PTA as the beneficiary. Scan your Nugget Scrip card each time you shop at one of the Nugget stores and they will donate 1% - 4% of your monthly grocery purchases to William Brooks PTA!
Attend Dine-Outs
Throughout the year, several of our local restaurants host dine-outs and will donate a portion of the proceeds they make on a given night back to the PTA. Attend a dine-out so you can enjoy a night without cooking while supporting our school! Check out the Calendar section on the website and in your Friday Folders for information about upcoming Dine-Outs!
Donate
Money raised goes toward classroom enrichment, class field trips, assemblies, the Art program, the Garden program, and much more! We work with the Brooks staff to make sure our kids have the resources and materials they need! If you are able, please make a tax-deductible donation to help support our kids.
