Our annual Spring fundraiser is here,
and every Brooks Bear can help raise funds for Brooks!

This year we will be involving the whole family in the largest fundraiser of the year: Camp Read-a-Lot! The fundraiser will take place at William Brooks and truly anywhere that you can read a book! There will be daily "read-cess," a fun dedicated reading area to rack up minutes during recess, daily reading incentives, and prizes for minutes read and money raised by individuals, classes, and school-wide, to celebrate literacy and the joy of reading. Children will collect pledges and read (or be read to) throughout the week in an effort to earn money for the William Brooks PTA, which supports many programs and events our students love year-round. ALL minutes read in and out of school COUNT!

As a part of Camp Read-a-Lot, the PTA is hosting a FREE fun Family Night on May 2, a cozy evening full of food, activities, prizes, and reading fun! We are also including other fun ways you can support our Brooks Bears, including a Raffle for Class Baskets, a special Raffle with Bonus Baskets and Teacher Experiences for those who come to Family Night, Grade-Level Parties, and a sale of Brooks Blankets! Buy raffle tickets to enter to win one of our book-themed Class Baskets filled to the brim with items donated by our families! Enter the Class-Basket raffle at Donuts with Grown Ups (4/29), at read-cess (4/29-5/1), or at Family Night (5/2). Bonus Baskets & Teacher Experience Raffles will be available only at the Family Event. Winners announced at the Family Event, you do not need to be present to win.

Tickets are $2 each (or $50 per sheet of 25).
The Brooks teachers are hosting grade-level parties to help us raise money! For $25 per student, your child can have a fun afternoon with their classmates and teachers on Wednesday, May 14 from 2:15 - 3:00 pm.

Top earner in each class gets a book fair bundle!
$25 Book fair gift certificate and an Exclusive early shopping day at the Book Fair (before the book fair opens for the rest of the school!)
Top reader in each Grade earns a special lunch with Mrs. Stedeford!
Please consider volunteering to help us with our largest fundraiser of the year. We have many opportunities for you to volunteer, including Donuts with Grown Ups, daily Read-cess, and Family Night (set up, during, and clean up).
